Red Rock Ranch is nestled snugly in the scenic and picturesque Wasatch Mountains. It is where it has sat for the past 155 years as one of northern Utah's oldest cattle ranches. Besides being drenched in history and the sweat of many a cowboy, the ranch is also known for its vast variety of wildlife and delicious cowboy cooking in its country cafe.

RANCH HISTORY ~~··
The Red Rock Ranch is a real working cattle ranch complete with cattle drives for the public. The ranch is home to mountain lions, mule deer, bob cats, red fox, moose, elk, wild turkeys, sand hill cranes, bald eagles, golden eagles and many other species of wildlife.
The Ranch was homesteaded in the 1850's by the Allen family. It is located about 8 miles east of the town of Huntsville, Utah and 20 miles east of Ogden, Utah, in what is known as the "Upper Ogden Valley." The Ranch is nestled among the red rock cliffs of the South fork canyon where the Beaver Creek meets the South Fork River on highway 39 and the turn off to Causey Dam. It was here that the Native Americans wintered. When the fields are tilled there are still remnants of their history at the ranch area. From the front porch of the cafe you can see Snowbasin where part of the 2002 Winter Olympic games were held. We are also minutes from Powder Mountain and Wolf Mountain.
The Ranch house was started in the 1850's built with dove tailed logs. It is a two story home that has been a home to many a cowboy and a haven to many a traveler. The original spring house for the ranch sits on the Feeny Ditch directly behind the ranch house. There have been many cans of milk kept cold in the cool mountain water that flows through the ditch.
In the 1900's there were many a good cowboy that learned to rope and ride and even a few got thrown at the weekly Red Rock Ranch Rodeo's. So it was only natural for the Ranch to start raising the greatest roping, team penning and bulldogging stock around.
Ranching
activities began at the Red Rock Ranch location around 1850. Ray and
Janice Yoak and their children took over the ranching operations in 1991, and started serving up cowboy food and western recreation. It is still a working ranch, which is constantly being restored
as a place for children and the public to enjoy. Visitors will see many
historical items and memories of our pioneering heritage. It is a great place to relax and forget all the hustle and bustle of the busy city life.
The Ranch celebrates all holidays in an old west tradition. During Halloween there are hayrides designed for children of all ages; along with a bonfire to cook on. The leaves are changing colors and it is like stained glass surrounding the Ranch creating memories for each family. Enjoy the breathless beauty of the "fall foliage rides". In the winter the snow gets deep and there is horse back riding and horse drawn sleigh rides for those who want to recapture the past and share it with their families. The Ranch is covered with a shimmering blanket of fluffy snow making it a winter wonderland. For the more adventurous the Ranch rents snowmobiles and there are over 200 miles of groomed trails to play on. Spring brings new life to the Ranch as the ducks, chickens and rabbits along with many others from the petting farm have their young. The Corriente cattle and the horses join in and the ranch is soon teaming with babies. Summer is bustling with Chuckwagon Dinners, music and cowboy poetry, hayrides and horseback riding, pack trips and delicious dutch oven dinners complete with a hold up. come for dinner and enjoy great food and entertainment. Making Red Rock truly a ranch for all seasons!
